Weekly World Peace News Conferences

His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi is now offering weekly World Peace News Conferences in which he will personally address the global community and the international press every week—an unprecedented offer in the 50-year history of his international activities. Maharishi has said that these news conferences will provide an important venue for profound knowledge, for crucial, prevention-oriented solutions, and for enlightened news reporting.

Enlightenment Course Updates

On May 3, the first group of 35 of our Movement’s most successful leaders flew to Vlodrop, Holland, to attend Maharishi’s Enlightenment Course. These great souls were among those who contributed $1 million or more toward the establishment of the first permanent group of 10,000 Yogic Flying Vedic Pandits in India, which will bring to fulfillment Maharishi’s life-long desire to create Permanent Peace on Earth.

To honor these key individuals and to celebrate this global achievement of Peace on Earth, Maharishi has graciously agreed to host what promises to be the most amazing Course in history, which he is calling “Enlightenment: Total Knowledge and Experience of Higher States of Consciousness.” In his great generosity and concern for the world, Maharishi will host three such Courses—the one that began on May 6 and has now concluded, and two more beginning on July 8 and on August 12.

Maharishi appears to be as excited about these Courses as he is about achieving world peace! He has been waiting for years, apparently, to bring out a new wave of profound knowledge and experience. Those fortunate few who can join the Enlightenment Courses will receive this newest and most powerful knowledge directly from Maharishi.

In describing this Course, Maharishi has spoken of “intimate sessions” during which he will answer “all impossible questions.” In a most intimate and personal way, he is taking responsibility for the Enlightenment of all those who are gathering with him—all those who have been responsible for changing the destiny of the world from endless war to Permanent Peace.

This opportunity is truly unprecedented in our Movement’s history—and quite possibly in world history as well. We need to seize this moment for the sake of our own enlightenment and the security of our world family. Therefore, we strongly encourage those of you who have the financial means to do so to make your $1 million pledge to establish the 10,000 group and create permanent world peace. You then will have an opportunity to join those being honored by Maharishi at the upcoming Enlightenment Courses in July and August.

Among the first people to take advantage of the opportunity to attend Maharishi's Enlightenment Courses were Warren and Harriet Berman. Warren made the following comments before leaving for the May 6 course:

Maharishi, who has been working continually for the betterment of the world, has stopped to invite us to a Course. This is a life-changing experience. Update on the 10,000 Project in India

Across India, more than 170,000 Vedic Pandit students are being trained as experts in Maharishi Vedic Science and Technology in 4,000 villages and towns. Already, 9,000 Vedic Pandits have gathered together in the existing facilities in India (see photos).

But Maharishi wants to expand these numbers immediately. To safeguard world consciousness from the current, dangerous escalation of violence around the globe, Maharishi plans to increase the size of the group to 10,000 and then quickly to 20,000. This group, practicing technologies of consciousness together in one place, will create a huge upsurge of global harmony and peace. Even at the current numbers, this effect has already begun (see comments of Jo Anne and Gina Orange below).

Simultaneously, Maharishi will go ahead with construction of housing for the permanent group of 40,000 experts by the Ganges River. The Ganges facility construction will now proceed very quickly, since the funds allocated for this purpose are being maximally leveraged to produce the greatest possible impact in the shortest possible time.

Jo Anne Orange and her daughter Gina recently returned from a tour of the Brahmasthan (center) of India, where they witnessed 3,000 Vedic Pandits performing their program together.

“These are truly experts,” Gina says. “Morning, noon, and night, the Vedic Pandits practice Yogic Flying, Vedic recitation, and Maharishi Yagya performances. Our experience was blissful, and the Vedic Pandits were balanced, lively, healthy, and deeply committed to their programs. There was a deep feeling that they were performing from the level of Parame Vyoman (the transcendental field), causing that influence to spread throughout the entire universe. With even 3,000 Vedic Pandits gathered there, the atmosphere is remarkable. This is really the force that is going to change the world.”

Jo Anne commented, “The profound power of the 3,000 Pandits living in Sthapatya Ved accommodations at the Brahmasthan of India helped us to appreciate the urgency of getting the Enlightenment Course under way and the need for increasing the numbers of Vedic Pandits. There is a deep sense of tranquility and peace at the Brahmasthan of India. The Pandits are glowing and radiating bliss, and we experienced palpable bliss and tangible silence. We glimpsed the possibility of permanent world peace. Nothing can be more important than getting the 40,000 group established.”

What You Can Do

Those who make a substantial contribution—$1 million or more—to the 10,000 project in India will have the opportunity to join over almost 80 fortunate visionaries being honored by Maharishi at the Enlightenment Courses in July and August. (1) Some Important Points for Prospective Enlightenment Course Participants

If you have the financial fortune to be able to contribute $1 million or more to the 10,000 project in India, doing so will safeguard your assets. This contribution will help ensure permanent world peace—and peace will protect our wealth, our families, and our financial future. If it is within your means to contribute $1 million, please know that doing so would be the greatest gift you could give to humankind.

If you could contribute $1 million or more but your assets are not liquid, please contact me immediately. I am working closely with our Financial Liquidity Board to create options for people in this situation, and we may be able to help. If you are unable to attend the Enlightenment Course due to other commitments or concerns, you can now send another person in your place—either immediate family members or representatives of Maharishi’s Purusha or Mother Divine program.

If you already support other Movement projects, please continue to do so—but please also consider the extreme urgency of Maharishi’s present request. When a prospective 10,000 project donor recently said to Maharishi, “I could give $1 million today, but I could give $5 million next year,” Maharishi told him to choose for today.

Most of us, of course, cannot contribute $1 million to this project, but we can still play a vital role in achieving this monumental goal. Here’s what we can do:

Continue to identify and actively encourage possible millionaire donors. You can contact my Institute at 641-472-1200 with the names of serious prospective donors.

Stay regular in your practice of the TM and TM-Sidhi programs, especially in groups—and participate in Maharishi’s other programs as well to accelerate your own growth towards enlightenment. The collective coherence we generate now will help ensure the speedy establishment of Permanent Peace on Earth.

Thanks to the efforts and participation of all of you, Maharishi is now moving ahead full force to secure peace in the world. As the numbers grow in India, we will soon start to feel relief from global violence and war, as waves of peace and happiness begin to fill the world.

But we must continue to strive to expand the numbers attending the historic Enlightenment Courses in July and August. And although we have raised an unprecedented $76 million so far to support the India project, we must still reach our crucial goal of $100 million so that Maharishi can complete this historic effort to gather 10,000 (and soon 20,000) Vedic Pandits by year’s end, without threat of interruption. We are closer to achieving Permanent Peace on Earth than at any time in human history. Let us not rest until we have accomplished the goal.
